The primary organization of the Free Trade Union of Metalworkers (SPM) at the Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) "Tekhnika Svyazi" (Communication Equipment), located in the city of Baran (formerly – the OJSC "Lyos") has successfully completed its bargaining on collective agreement for 2012-2013.

This was reported by Vasily Levchenkov, the Chairman of the SPM, who said that the primary organization managed to persuade the employer to reject the proposals, which could aggravate the position of workers.

"We have agreed to leave almost all the previous provisions of the collective agreement, although the employer tried to insist on a number of points, which could aggravate the workers' life, since they referred additional benefits and social guarantees. Unfortunately, it was impossible to win additional safeguards in the collective agreement, since the economic situation of the company is not quite good," said Vasily Levchenkov.

For the third year in a row, the SPM primary organization at the OJSC "Tekhnika Svyazi" concludes a separate (bilateral) collective agreement with the employer without involvement of the primary organization of the FPB (Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, which acts at the enterprise along with the SPM.
