The Lenin District Court of Mogilev has rejected the lawsuit lodged by Alexei Pavlovskiy, a category 5 bricklayer and an activist of the REP Trade Union, claiming to force the Republic's Unitary Enterprise (RUE) "Mogilev DSK" to conclude a labour contract and pay out the wages for the period of enforced idleness. The judge has ruled that the "disagreement of the labour collective", certified by the director and the chair of the state-controlled trade union was a legitimate reason for the refusal.more >>

On November 28, Alexander Vaitseshyk sent a letter to Dmitry Guminsky, Director of the "Building Technical Company", where the trade union activist is working as Chief Accountant. The letter says that on November 28 Alexander came to his workplace and found that all of the drawers of his desk were empty, and there were no documents that were earlier on his desktop.more >>
