Workers of Polotsk winery want to join SPB

In early September, more than 30 workers of the Polotsk Winery quitted their official branch trade union – a member of the FPB (Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus) and apply for membership in the Free Trade Union of Belarus (SPB). Their reasons were in low wages, violations of labour safety regulations and humiliation of workers by administration officials. The initiators of the protest are preparing a constituent assembly to register the primary organization of the SPB.more >>
